About Seymour Technical High School's Grounds and Facilities

Seymour Technical High School has extensive facilities, particularly in the technology subject areas.

Modern, networked computers are provided in our four computer rooms and library, with further computers available around the school for in-class use. Recent advancements in technology have allowed us to provide such tools as interactive whiteboards and on-demand digital video for more engaging, interactive learning. The library provides a full range of resources in book, periodical, and digital form, which are available for student research and as teacher resources.

Our tech wing features an automotive room, two woodwork rooms, three engineering and metalwork rooms, and two grahpics rooms. Recently, an upgrade saw the addition of over $200,000 worth of modern, high-tech engineering equipment to our facilities, including a computer controlled mill, lathes, and large sheetmetal guillotines. This equipment joins other industry-standard equipment provided in the automotive section. These facilities provide students with an excellent opportunity to learn to use, and practice on the very equipment used in industry - an opportunity unparalleled in this region.

Other facilities include a hall, stadium, large oval, tennis, basketball, and squash courts, along with a soon-to-be completed Performing Arts Centre.
