Seymour

Seymour Alternative Farming Expo

Seymour is situated on the Goulburn River approximately 100 kms north of Melbourne over the Great Dividing Range. It is the gateway to many areas in the Goulburn Valley and North-East Victoria.

Seymour's central location provides a ready access to the Victorian snowfields, Goulburn wineries, especially the renowned Michelton and Tahbilk wineries and a wealth of waterways including Lake Eildon, Lake Nagambie and the Goulburn waterways and tributaries. Nestled in the foothills of the Tallarook ranges and the Highlands areas it provides a locality for attractive bushland and walks in the area.

The Seymour township and district also offers excellent sporting facilities and being north of the divide experiences a warm climate, with delightful Autumns and Springs, but the "odd" invigorating frosty morning in winter.

There are excellent community services within the Shire and this is supplemented with the regional centres of Bendigo and Shepparton just one hour away by car or public transport.
